Frequently asked questions
About Sliver
What is Sliver?
Sliver is an online service for weight loss, menopause and longevity medication. You complete a short online visit, a licensed provider in your state reviews it, and if treatment is right for you, your medication ships to your door. One price covers the visit, medication and shipping.
Who are the providers?
Your care comes from independent providers licensed in your state. They review your health history, decide whether treatment is right for you and set your dose.
Is Sliver available in my state?
Choose your state when you get started and we'll confirm right away.
Do I need insurance?
No. Sliver is cash-pay, so the price you see is the price you pay. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Medication
Is compounded medication FDA-approved?
No. Compounded medications are prepared by state-licensed pharmacies for individual patients based on a prescription. They are not FDA-approved.
Does the price go up when my dose goes up?
No. Compounded semaglutide is $239/month and compounded tirzepatide is $289/month at every dose, after your first month.
I'm already on a GLP-1 with another provider. Can I switch?
Yes. Share your current medication, dose and last dose date in your online visit, and your provider will decide how to continue. Switching patients start at $239/month for semaglutide or $289/month for tirzepatide.
Pricing
What's included in the price?
Your online visit, provider review, medication, shipping, and ongoing support by message. No hidden fees.
How does prepaying work?
You pay for 3 or 6 months at once and pay less overall than paying month by month. For example, 6 months of compounded semaglutide prepaid saves $240. A prepaid supply ships as one package and can't be canceled once it ships.
Who gets the first-month price?
The first-month price ($169 for semaglutide, $179 for tirzepatide) applies to new patients starting treatment at the starting dose. After that, the regular monthly price applies.
Can I use my HSA or FSA, or pay over time?
Yes. HSA and FSA cards are accepted, and you can choose to pay over time at checkout.
Safety
Are there side effects?
The most common are mild stomach issues like nausea, mostly when you start or increase your dose, and they usually ease within a few weeks. Your provider goes over everything with you, and your care team is a message away.
Is my health information private?
Yes. You share your health information only in the secure online visit, where it's used by your provider and care team to provide your treatment.
